Frequently Asked Questions
What will I need to bring with me to my consultation?
You will need to provide your insurance card, a pictured ID, a list of current medications, a copy of recent lab work and a copy of any imaging results (CT, Ultrasound, HIDA Scan, MRI, etc)
Will my surgery be performed the same day as my consultation?
Most inpatient and outpatient surgeries are scheduled within a week after your initial consultation with Dr Barrios. Some minor procedures may be performed the same day as your consultation, if time permits. If not, they will be scheduled on another office day.
If I have an in-office procedure, will I be able to drive?
You will be able to drive after an in-office procedure as Dr Barrios will use only a local anesthetic.
How much will my surgery cost?
Our office will verify your insurance benefits once a procedure is scheduled. A surgery deposit will be required if an individual’s deductible and/or out-of-pocket has not been met. Each patient is responsible for contacting his/her insurance company with any questions they have regarding their specific plan and coverage to fully understand all the costs included in their procedure (physician, facility, anesthesia, pathology).
What form of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and personal checks. We do not accept checks for surgery deposits.
